The Aga Khan University’s Global Mobility Programmes are designed to offer unique work-integrated learning opportunities that enable students to gain hands-on experience in their career fields, expand their cultural understanding, and build meaningful professional networks. These programmes are an excellent way to connect classroom knowledge with real-world challenges while learning in diverse, global contexts.

Background on AKU-IIP

The Aga Khan University's International Internship Programme (AKU-IIP) offers international students a culturally immersive and professional learning opportunity to connect academic knowledge with practical application. Participants will experience onsite placements, gain valuable hands-on experience in their chosen career fields, and build a global network while committing a minimum of 35 hours per week. The programme offers flexible placements for varying durations, from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 1 year.

Student Application Deadline: 31st January 2025
Assessment, Interview and Onboarding: 03rd February 2025 - 28th February 2025
Summer 2025 Commencements (two options): 12th May 2025 and 02nd June 2025

Background on AKU-VIP
The Aga Khan University's Virtual Internship Programme (AKU-VIP) offers international students the chance to explore opportunities in their chosen career fields remotely through a 12-week placement with AKDN Agencies. With a commitment of only 15 hours per week, this programme allows students to develop professional and personal skills, gain career insights, and foster global connections—all from the comfort of their own homes.
